Usually, it will work fine with older Steinberg plug-ins, but the outcome might vary, especially with 3rd party plug-ins.

I have got 4 computers in my studio actually all connected to each other and it is super powerful. I don't have the dual boot system installed on one machine either e.g.

I have heard trying to use 32 bit plugs under a bridge on a 64 bit system can cause problems for you. Also check too because many 32 bit plugs have been released as 64 bit versions by now. In reality I have found I don't use it much as pretty well everything is covered now in the 64 bit world. Sending audio to and back is a breeze and works perfectly. My 32 bit machine has also got a UAD card installed too.

So if I really need any of the 32 bit stuff I can boot it up, send audio or midi over to it and that way I have got full use of all my 32 bit stuff. I have the two computers networked and connected via audio (analog and digital) and midi as well.

I left them all on my Win XP 32 bit machine and I use Studio One Ver 2.65 on that. Like you though I have a ton of 32 bit plugins and virtual instruments. As a result I am experiencing blissful behaviour. My main machine is Win 7 64 bit machine and I have Studio One 3.5 64 bit installed on it. The way I do it (and I realise not all can do this) is to use two computers. I've heard/read good things about jbridge, seems like a possibility - does it do as advertised? Glanced over info on it - do I just point it at the existing master folder (creating a new destination folder), or do I have to go thru sub-folder by sub-folder, or (god forbid) plug-by=plug? dll's and, where required, their own folders for inits and such. Inside the fx folder it's further broken down into category folders containing the. Then - as noted I've got a ton of 32bit plugs, all centralized in one folder for fx, and one for vsti. Sound correct? No impact whatsoever on the existing install?

First, it's my understanding that both versions - 32 and 64 - can coexist, just install the new version in it's own folder. Thing is I have a ton of (very well organized) 32bit plugs, both fx and vsti. But I'm thinking of loading 3.5 in 64bit just to try. I'm still on 3.3.x at 32bit - get great work done as such, and don't work with large sample libraries so access to the larger memory isn't an issue.
